Jennifer Judith Jones OM (born 7 July 1974) is a Canadian curler. She was the Olympic champion in curling as a skip for the Canadian team at the 2014 Sochi Games. Jones is the first female skip to go through an undefeated game. The only male fellow to achieve this was Canadian Kevin Martin in 2010. Jones and his team were the first Manitoba-based curling team to win an Olympic gold medal. They won the 2008 World Women’s Curling Championship, and were the last Canadian women’s team to do so until Rachel Homan in 2017. She won the second world championship in 2018. Jones will once again represent Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Jennifer Jones and her Winnipeg teammate went down to Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni 8-4 on Sunday afternoon to lose 1-3 in the women’s curling tournament.
Canada, already missing out on the podium in mixed doubles curling in Beijing, needs to race up the table in the next five games to make it to the women’s playoffs.
“We just have to leave it there and see what happens,” Jones said. “You can’t predict what’s going to come in the playoffs. I can guarantee everyone that we’re going to go out there and play with our hearts until the end.”
It is possible that a team reaches the playoffs with a 5–4 record – this has happened at every Winter Olympics since 2010 and there have been two medalists who have finished the round robin with 5–4 points – but since no No longer a tiebreaker game in international curling, it will come down to a one-off record and cumulative final stone draw score. Canada is currently ranked seventh out of 10 teams in the draw shot challenge and has lost to three competing teams – Japan, Sweden and Switzerland.

Canada’s Jennifer Jones and her team beat Great Britain’s Eve Muirhead 7-3 in Olympic women’s curling action on Monday to set a 3-3 record in Beijing.
With the hammer in the fifth end, Canada took the lead with a three-ender, and never looked back. Jones improved to 3–3 in the round-robin game, good for a three-way tie for fifth place. The top four sides in the 10-team standings will qualify for the semi-finals.
Team Jones started the Olympic women’s curling competition with a win, before losing three in a row. But the possibility of poor performance of the women’s team seems to be over.
Jones performed extensively with back-to-back victories over the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and Great Britain, which propelled him to the Olympic title eight years earlier.
