Levi’s is from Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, a Montreal suburb. His father Laurent Levy is a software engineer, and his mother, Eta Yakovar Levy, is an office administrator at the software company he is building. [2] [3] He has a younger brother, James. [4] [5] While Levi’s first language is English, he also speaks French. [6]

Levi, who is Jewish, attended the Hebrew Foundation School. He then attended West Island College (2019), where he was a valedictorian.  He took online courses from the University of Athabasca

“They took on a goalkeeper named Levy in the third round, when they should have drafted a goalkeeper named Levy, who went in the seventh.

“When he wrote the pic he made an ‘e’ too much.”

Yes, this can prove to be a big mistake.

But the truth is that no one knows yet.

Not Pierre Dorian, not Pierre Groulx, no one in the organization, and of course we are not players or you fans.

When it comes to the drafted goalkeeper, the jungles are filled with the hustle and bustle of the early rounds just like the late stars.

This is really bullshit.

What we know for certain now is that Levi Merillainen, selected by Ottawa from Carpet Juniors in Finland, finished 71st overall and was one of three goalkeepers representing his country at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Edmonton.

How good is

To say that Devon Levy had a great 2019-20 season with the Carlton Place Canadians would be an understatement. He only posted a very stingy goal against a 1.47 goals-average (GAA), .947 save percentage (SV%), eight shutouts, and a 34-2-1 record. He also performed impressively at the World Junior A Challenge, where he posted a 2.86 GAA and .917 SV% in six games. One of those games was the upset of Team USA, the defending champions.

Scouting Report

One of the latest Sabers prospects, Devon Levy, has impressed as one of the best goalscorers in the NCAA to start the 2021-22 season.

Last calendar year, the 19-year-old from Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, won a silver medal for Team Canada at the 2021 IIHF World Juniors, was traded to Buffalo, and began his collegiate hockey career in the Northeast.

After missing out as a freshman due to injury throughout the Northeast last year, he has been a vital part of the No. 20-ranked Huskies in the country.

He leads the NCAA this season with four shutouts and needs only one more to tie the single-season program record.

“I do everything I can to help my team win, no matter what the circumstances,” he said.

Sabres.com caught up with Levy after Northeastern’s weekend series against Hockey East’s rival Maine.
