Indiana won its first NCAA Tournament game since 2016, beating Wyoming 66–58 to win the first four battles between the No. 12 seeds. The Hoosiers will go on to play No. 5 seed St. Mary’s in East Region action on Thursday. Trace Jackson-Davis led the Hoosiers with 29 points and Jordan Geronimo added 15 points off the bench. Hunter Maldonado led Wyoming with 21 points as the Cowboys’ season ended with a 25–9 scoreline under coach Jeff Linder of the second year.
