Zachary Capono Wilson (born August 3, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at BYU, where he was a two-time bowl game MVP, and was selected second overall by the Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft.

After being examined by medical staff, Wilson went back to the locker room. He would get hurt when he was in a scuffle and get a weird cut after turning upside down.
Speaking to reporters after the game, head coach Robert Saleh said the Jets would learn more after receiving Wilson’s MRI results on Saturday. He also said that Wilson’s ACL “should remain intact.”
2 overall in the 2021 draft, Wilson is looking to make a comeback from a disappointing rookie season.

NY Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was ruled out of Friday’s preseason game early with a non-contact knee injury. The Jets quickly announce that Wilson’s return is doubtful, but all but confirm that they have had their day.
Although the exact severity of the injury is still unclear, there are initial fears that Wilson has suffered a significant knee injury that could sideline him for the entire 2022 season.
Renowned football doctor David J. Chao quickly shared that he believed Wilson tore his ACL after seeing what he saw in play. It should be noted, that Chao, who often shares speculation on player injuries, is rarely (if ever) wrong in his diagnosis.
If true, Wilson will be forced to miss the upcoming 2022 season, a devastating blow to the Jets franchise that turned the corner after a very promising off-season.
Injury update
The first quarter of the 2022 NFL preseason wasn’t particularly kind to the Jets. They went out of frame, trailing the Eagles 14–0, but most importantly, they lost to quarterback Zack Wilson with a non-contact knee injury.
Wilson suffered an injury after entering a 7-yard melee. The second year player was under immediate pressure as he fell back to pass but used his mobility to get out of the pocket.
As he tried to hit Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean, he awkwardly fell to the ground. He was able to get up, but he walked with a noticeable lameness after the play.
Interception
It’s not easy getting into the NFL as a rookie quarterback and making an immediate impact. That’s why the Jets are nervous about Zach Wilson’s struggles in 2021, trying to talk to himself. After all, the Jets haven’t exactly surrounded Wilson with talent, and a Week 7 knee injury was a major blow to the rookie from BYU.
But man, Wilson isn’t helping himself at all in his return to action.
During Sunday’s Week 12 game against the Texans, Wilson threw one of the worst interceptions of the season. It was his 10th interception of the season with just four touchdowns.
On third and 17, Wilson scrambled in the middle and then threw a shovel pass over an already dead play that went straight off teammate Ty Johnson’s back to intercept the Texans.
