Sunday’s game between the Jets and the Packers is nothing short of a dream come true for Zach Wilson and his father Mike.
Hours before kickoff, Wilson’s paternal grandfather took to Twitter, where he detailed how much this weekend’s matchup against Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay means to his family.
“Dreams do come true! I can’t tell you how many times @ZachWilson and I have watched Rogers [sic] on TV or studied his every movement on YouTube,” Mike began.
“Today he has got a chance to play against him. Parents, if your child has a dream, follow it. Sometimes dreams do come true.”
Mike also shared a photo of Wilson, 23, standing alongside Rodgers, 38, the league’s MVP.
NFL fans quickly responded to Mike’s touching message, expressing how “proud” the family should be of the Jets’ second-year quarterback.

According to NFL coaches and officials, despite the struggle of his rookie year, Zach Wilson already appears to be the King of New York quarterbacks.
On Monday, Mike Sandow of The Athletic released his ninth annual NFL quarterback tier article. “The results reflect a poll of 50 NFL coaches and officials, including six general managers, eight head coaches, 10 evaluators, 12 coordinators, six quarterback coaches and seven execs, whose specialties include analytics, game management and salary caps.”
The group of experts ranked 35 experienced quarterbacks from best (Tier 1) to worst (Tier 5). Zach Wilson and Daniel Jones both found themselves in Tier 4, which is reserved for unproven players or veterans who ideally wouldn’t start all 17 games. In fact, of the 35 quarterback rankings, Wilson came in at 28th while Jones was in 30th.
Cheating
It’s the off-season, but New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is reportedly seeing a lot of action and game time.
The 22-year-old and his ex-girlfriend, 22-year-old Abby Gille, broke up earlier this year. But over the weekend, she accused Wilson of cheating on her with her mom, Lisa’s close friend.
Gille took to her deleted Instagram account to reveal Wilson was “sleeping with her mom’s best friend”, and called the QB a “real homie hopper” when someone called her out.
Wilson and Gil broke up earlier this year, but she is believed to have moved on with Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne—who was Wilson’s college roommate at Brigham Young University.
