The video game in the WWE 2K series has been receiving mixed reactions from fans over the years. While they have provided great games like 2K19, they also released WWE 2k20, which was banned universally. Looks like they have released new screenshots from the upcoming video game.
WWE 2K22 was announced during WrestleMania 37 and finally, during WWE SummerSlam, it was announced that the game would release in March next year, unlike this year.
As previously reported, WWE 2K22 had to delay the release of the game due to WWE releasing so much talent this year. Ultimately, relations between WWE and 2K became ‘really strained’ due to the delay.
2K Games recently removed “The Hit List” in its latest YouTube video, which showcased a number of new features added to the game. He also released several screenshots for fans.

Future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio was revealed as the cover star for 2K Games’ upcoming WWE 2K22. In addition, various versions have been revealed for the upcoming game — including an nWo-focused one — and they’ll be available on March 11 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Mysterio has been wrestling since 1989, but really made a name for himself as a member of WCW’s cruiserweight division during the ’90s. His career highlights will be a part of this year’s showcase mode. During a press conference, Mysterio’s matches with Eddie Guerrero were mentioned – including his WrestleMania 21 bout and the infamous “Dominic’s Custody” ladder match from SummerSlam 2005. Nothing was certain for WWE 2K22, but with historic moments like those and the fight in between. Two men at the 1997 Halloween Havoc in WCW, we’re sure to see some classic combat in showcase mode.
