William Patrick Zalatoris (born August 16, 1996) is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. He won the 2020 TPC Colorado Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour. He finished second in the 2021 Masters tournament when he made his debut.

Players championship
Colin Morikawa is finally getting his due from the sportsbook as one of the elite golfers on the PGA Tour, and the low numbers haven’t slowed the betting public from supporting him.
Morikawa is the most popular bet of the week, appearing in several sportsbooks as the highest placed golfer in The Players.
2-ranked player in the world, Morikawa is just behind favorite Jon Rahm in Pointsbet and DraftKings and tied with him in FanDuel after sitting as a favorite on Monday. But he is hardly second to anyone in terms of popularity.
He is the highest wager golfer at Superbook in Las Vegas as well as Caesars. He has taken the most money in the outright market at Pointsbet and is in the top four in FanDuel.
And rightly so. Morikawa has had two top-five finishes in his two starts on the PGA Tour in 2022. His elite iron game makes him a course fit at TPC Sagars. Furthermore, Rahm has not looked like the Rahm that bookmakers are used to seeing in recent weeks.
Morikawa has been voted unanimously by the public, but don’t forget Brooks Koepka, the most popular play in FanDuel and PointsBet.
While the public is supporting Morikawa, SuperBooks VP of risk management and golf oddsmaker Jeff Sherman noted swift action across the board.
Sherman adjusted Daniel Berger to 2500 when Sharp hit him early in all markets. Last time we saw Berger, he was ready to run away with a Honda Classic before the final round of 74 left him in fourth place.
Sherman also noted the action honored on Billy Horsell (5000) and Corey Connors (6000).
As far as fades go, sharp Will Zalatoris is vanishing in a matchup against Sergio Garcia against Sungje Im and Paul Casey. But the biggest names are seeing less support and stakes against Dustin Johnson.

Happy Gilmore was not only Adam Sandler’s film breakout role, but it became a necessity to watch for children of the 1990s. The film’s golf theme resonated with many golf professionals in the making, including Will Zalatrois. Viewers of this year’s Masters tournament couldn’t help but notice the resemblance between him and Happy Gilmore’s caddy. Even Sandler took to social media to make a hilarious movie reference, gaining Zalatoris’ approval in the process.
Will Zalatoris’ resemblance to the caddy led to a proliferation of memes and jokes, and the golf professional picked up some new fans in the process. The actor’s hilarious advice on Will Zalatoris was like watching a sensible Happy Gilmore encourage his former caddy. It proved that with some time and training, any caddy can follow in their boss’s footsteps.

Putting has never been the power of Will Zalatoris’ game. In three years at the pro level, he has ranked no more than 90th in either average or strokes received: putting. In 25 PGA Tour runs starting in 2021, Zalatoris has actually lost strokes to field putting, good for 123rd place on the Tour.
In short, Zalatoris has not been a good putter. He knew this. But he didn’t even think he was that bad.
“Found it in my dome,” he told GOLF.com during a promotional event for Gillette’s ’72 Club. “I was hitting some of these putts and I’m like, ‘I didn’t pull this. It was a really solid putt.’ I couldn’t figure it out.

Which brings us to earlier this summer, when a scary-looking injury at the Open Championship forced the 25-year-old to take two weeks off from competition. With an unexpected break in the season, the young pro did what young professionals do: He met coach Josh Gregory and had to work on the only thing he could do: pour.
Quickly, the pair noticed something was wrong – Zalatoris’ omission was uncertain, even though his stroke seemed fine. Gregory suspected the issue was with his posture, but just to be sure, took a look at his client’s putter face. A few seconds later, Gregory reached for his credit card – something just wasn’t right.
“My old putter, because it was an insert, the insert really went in,” he said. “I put so many putts that we literally put a credit card on it, and put it face up, and you could see an indent in the middle of the face.”
