Beginning Bednar waited almost a full calendar year and an additional 18 days to finally come up against Grambling State on Tuesday. Of the seven batsmen that Bednar faced in the Bulldogs’ 10–0 victory, two were innings and six retired. He swinging the last five outs.
Lemonis and pitching coach Scott Foxhall are careful in getting Bednar back on the mound. He played one innings in the Kent State Series and was given a maximum of two innings against Grambling.
