Whitley David Merrifield is an American professional baseball second baseman and outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. He previously played in MLB for the Kansas City Royals. He is a two-time All-Star, and led the American League in stolen bases three times.

Wife Jordan Michael:
Merrifield is a Christian. Merrifield married his wife Jordan Michael on December 28, 2019. Merrifield’s father, Bill, played college baseball for Wake Forest University, and spent six seasons in Minor League Baseball, primarily as a third baseman.
He played collegiate baseball at the University of South Carolina from 2008 to 2010. He graduated from Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina.
In 2008, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox, and in 2009, he returned to the league with the Chatham Anglers.
