Contract
Merrifield, 33, originally signed a four-year contract ahead of the 2019 season. The deal was worth a guaranteed $16.25 million and included a fifth-year option for 2023. In April, the Royals exercised their club option at Merrifield for 2023 and added a reciprocal option for 2024.
Wedding pictures
Shortly after the Royals selected Brady Singer with the 18th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, a video in Kansas City went viral.
It belonged to Singer, who was particularly upset by a rain delay during one of his debuts in Florida and dropped the curse words.
