According to senior NFL insider Josina Anderson of CBS Sports Headquarters, the Glen Heights City Jail released Miller on a $5,000 bond posted by Express Bail Bonds.

The Buffalo Bills linebacker’s longtime girlfriend has accused him of assaulting her at their home in Dallas on Wednesday morning. The warrant was for a charge of assault on a pregnant person, a third-degree felony.

Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller, who is accused of attacking a pregnant woman, turned himself in Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued, Dallas police said.

Dallas police told CNN that Miller, 34, turned himself in to the Glen Heights Police Department on Thursday afternoon, hours after the warrant was issued.

Glen Heights Police Chief Nick Bristow told CNN affiliate WFAA that Miller was taken to the DeSoto Police Department jail, where he immediately posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller surrendered himself to police in a Dallas suburb on Thursday after being charged in a domestic violence warrant against the mother of his children, who is pregnant, police said.

Dallas police confirmed that Miller, 34, surrendered to police in the suburb of Glen Heights to face a charge of third-degree felony assault on a pregnant woman, which carries a penalty of 2 to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. There may be a fine.

The alleged assault happened Wednesday, according to a police affidavit, in which officers wrote that Miller twice put his hands around the woman’s neck, pulled a section of her hair and threw her onto a couch. The woman was treated for minor injuries, including a cut on her neck, police said.
