Paralegal
Vince McMahon enters WWE in the midst of another controversy. This time $3 million in hush money is a part of the situation and an affair with a paralegal is in the middle of it all.
Sean Sapp, behind the paywall of Fightful, explains that Johnny Ace expects to lose his job over it. Whatever is happening is expected to result in his resignation. The Internet in full force shared the sentiment that Vince McMahon has always had a decadent man.
It was also reported that the source indicated that the relationship between Vince McMahon and the paralegal was “suspected by many within the company.” He also got a decent promotion while many others lost their jobs in WWE.
Investigation
The Wall Street Journal reported that the board of World Wrestling Entertainment is investigating a $3 million hush-money settlement that CEO Vince McMahon paid to a former employee.
A WWE spokesperson told the newspaper that the company was cooperating with the board’s investigation and that the relationship between McMahon and the woman was consensual.
The report said the board’s investigation also brought to the fore old settlements relating to claims of misconduct by women who worked at the company against McMahon and another WWE executive.
Who did have an affair with
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, WWE boss Vince McMahon paid several million dollars to hide an affair with a former employee.
The report claimed that an investigation by the WWE Board of Directors has uncovered a secret $US3 million ($AUD4.2 million) settlement that Mr McMahon paid the woman to keep the affair a secret.
The employee in question was reportedly hired as a paralegal in 2019 and eventually left in January after signing a separation agreement that barred her from discussing the relationship.
The board’s investigation reportedly began in April and has unearthed other non-disclosure agreements involving former female WWE employees’ claims of alleged misconduct by McMahon and WWE executive John Larynitis.
The total payment is understood to be in millions of dollars.
The board’s preliminary findings suggest that Mr McMahon used personal funds to pay former female employees.
