Donovan Mitchell was an NBA All-Star this season, but became ill over the All-Star weekend and ended up watching it all on TV from his hotel room in Cleveland, instead of being able to play games or attend festivities. .

Mitchell said his non-COVID-19-related illness was nothing worse – a cold more than anything. He is feeling fine now and is ready to get back to play, but he joked on Thursday that perhaps he should have played in the game, if for no other reason than to undermine some of his Western Conference foes. The radio broadcast of the Utah Jazz Games just got a boost.

The organization announced Thursday that KSL Newsradio will be involved in a multi-year agreement with Bonneville International Corp to manage the day-to-day operations of The Zone Sports Network, which will include all-team playoff competitions in addition to a select selection of Jazz regular-season games. There will be a simulcasting of the number.

“Our radio and streaming alignment with the KSL platform for the Utah Jazz games is a tremendous opportunity to bring our team to more fans on a much larger broadcast footprint,” Utah Jazz President Jim Olson said in a press release. “Zone has been the top-rated sports radio station in the market, and this partnership with KSL’s digital assets, equipment and experience will further enhance the listening experience for jazz and sports fans.”

Losing their last five, the Utah Jazz looked to turn it around on Monday night against the Denver Nuggets.
