Urban Frank Meyer III (born 10 July 1964) is an American football coach. He served as the head coach of the Bowling Green Falcons from 2001 to 2002, the Utah Utes from 2003 to 2004, the Florida Gators from 2005 to 2010, and the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2012 to 2018.[2] He reached the end of the Rose Bowl in 2019. He retired from coaching in the U.S., and stayed at Ohio State as an assistant athletic director and was also an analyst for Fox Sports, appearing weekly on their Big Noon kickoff pre-game show. In 2021, Mayer came out of retirement to take his first National Football League (NFL) job as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was fired before the end of the season.

Kicks kicker
The urban mayor, who enjoyed the weather from hell in his first year in Jacksonville, has now been charged with kicking former Jaguar kicker Josh Lambo at practice in August.
Lambo made this allegation in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times. First, he elaborated on how Meyer didn’t mention experts by name.
“It was ‘kicker, punter, long snapper,'” Lambo said. “Or s-teabag, dips-tee or whatever the hell it was.”
Then, Lambo was accused of physical abuse.
“I’m in a lunge position. Left foot forward, right foot back,” said Lambo. “… the urban mayor, when I’m in that stretch position, comes up to me and says, ‘Hey Dips-tee ‘Make your f-king kick!’ And kicks me in the leg.”
Lambo, 31, was released in October by the Jaguars after going 0-for-3 on a field goal and 5-for-7 on extra points. He rated Meyer’s kick as five out of 10 on an aggression scale.

Josh Lambo got off to a slow start. The Jaguar kicker missed a field-goal attempt in each of the first two preseason games.
But the fourth-most accurate placekicker in NFL history wasn’t worried as he stretched out with teammates in a practice during the week before the final exhibition game against the Cowboys in August.
Lambo was then approached by head coach Urban Mayer, who was not calling Jaguar experts by his name.

The names didn’t bother Lambo, but what the former Florida Gators coach did next, Lambo said, was an act of fervent bullying.

Following reports that Meyer had a heated argument with receiver Marvin Jones, which prompted Jones to leave the facility, until other staff members persuaded him to return, Meyer issued a general denial. . Following reports that Meyer called his assistant coaches “losers”, Glaser went on to air that Mayer accepted the demands of his staff, telling Glazer that “I’m hard on my coaches” and “I’m going after them.” I meet.” Glazer explained to PFT that Mayer did not accept calling assistant coaches “losers”.

Among the many reports that all was not well under the urban mayor’s rule in Jacksonville is that he and Marvin Jones lashed out at it.
Between the 2-11 starts, there was a recent “heated argument” between the Jaguars’ head coach and the veteran wide receiver, NFL Network’s Tom Pelicero reported last week. Reportedly, Mayer’s public and private criticism of the receiver group prompted Jones to leave the team’s facility. He returned only after persuasion by the staff members. That’s when he and the mayor got involved as per the report.
Jones is an experienced and respected voice over 10 years in Jaguar Locker Rooms. He was reportedly pushed to the brink by his head coach, fueling further speculation that Mayer is not long for the Jaguars — or the NFL.
