Low kick from Volkanowski, then a heavy 1-2. That jab tonight is razor-sharp. Clean low kick and they tie up. Takedown for Volkanovski. Rust stands with a minute to go, being pressed against the fence. Left hook by Volkanovsky at the exit. The left hook lands for rust, which in turn eats a teepee and is dropped by 2-3. Round 2: Low kick from Jung. The heavier ones from Volkanovski. Long jab lands for Jong. Volkanowski with an overhand after an awkward trade. within a minute. Check hook rust wobbles again. He comes back with a leg kick. Front kick to the left straight off Jung, overhand right comes back on it. in two minutes. 1-2 and a body kick by Volkanowski, then a vicious right that pops out Jung’s legs. Jung swinging back, bursts him with a good left hook which prompts him to shoot. Volkanovski drags him down at half guard. Two minutes to go.

Alexander “The Great” Volkanovsky (23-1) is targeting a third successful title defense. The Australian fighter is currently on a 20-fight winning streak – according to UFC.com only three other contestants have achieved double-digit victories inside the Octagon.
Volkanovsky’s task will not be easy, however. Experienced contender Chan Sung Jung has won three of his last four bouts and most recently in June a decision victory over Dan Ige.
Saturday’s co-main event will see UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling (20-3) pitted against interim champion Petr Yan (16-2). Also on the cards is a welterweight clash featuring an unbeaten Khamzat Chimaev, as well as a women’s strawweight contest between Mackenzie Dern and Tekia Torres.
