Highlights
Geelong swingman Jack Henry scored the final goal of the game with two minutes to kick off. It was on the back of a nod from Tom Atkins and a snap from Tyson Stengel, with Henry leaping into the night to claim the crucial election symbol.
However, King joked that the final game-winner had “got in the way” one of the game’s greatest moments of all time.
“I want you to see that last play again, that Henry Mark,” he told Whatley of Sen.
“I look to see you Jeremy Cameron. The center bounce wins, he’s on 50, and he’s coming on the ball. Tyson Stengel comes in at 100 mph and gets a foothold.
“Now Stengel does an arc and then brings the ball to the top of the goal square [and] Cameron runs about 50 meters [about] to pick up Nick Rivold, a Jonathan Brown-type mark.
“It wouldn’t have just marked the year (but even better). Had he taken the mark – in my opinion, Henry would have been one of the biggest highlights we’ve ever had.

But he comes to the Cats after stints in Richmond and Adelaide, and indiscreet off-field during his time at the Crows.
“Without going too deep into this, I’d suggest people go and find out where he came from,” Selwood said.

“He’s brilliant, where he is. He’s got himself back, he’s 23. He’s made a few mistakes along the way.
“I’m really looking forward to spending a little time with her and helping her on that journey.
“I don’t think we need to keep an eye on him at all. He’ll be fine.”
Stengel’s game against Richmond showed that if he could play in the AFL consistently, he served as an easy recruit for the Cats.

The Cats have thrown a lifeline to former Tiger and Crow and so far it’s paying off after an extraordinary pre-season slick little forward primed to make a big impact. Stengel dominated the SANFL competition for the Woodville-West Torrance in 2021, scoring 44 goals in 19 games.
