Stripped of belt
Fury won the belt – along with the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO titles – when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, in one of the all-time great British boxing performances on foreign soil.
However, he has been out of the ring for the last two years due to various reasons. In February 2015 he tested positive for banned steroids, for which he was given a two-year ban by UK Anti-Doping, while also battling depression.

“We deeply regret leaving the Lineal Championship and we hope that fans will appreciate our reasons for giving Tyson every opportunity over the past two years. We wish our former champion the best of luck for the future and we will see him as appropriate.” happy to rank again
