Is playing

Tyreek Hill has been placed on the COVID-19 list, and is questionable to play in Week 16 against the Steelers. Hill is vaccinated, so he has a chance to be activated from the COVID-19 list by Sunday if he tests negative and is asymptomatic. But other than that, there’s really no way of knowing if he’ll be activated in time to play in Week 16.

Fantasy managers that remain alive in the playoffs can do nothing else but sit back, drink their eggnog and cross their fingers that Hill will be available this weekend.

Out

Hill was placed on the reserve/COVID list early in the week, so we’ll see if he can clear protocols in time to suit up against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is a middle-of-the-road matchup for WRs, but we know Hill is a must-start, even in the toughest of matchups. If Travis Kelce (reserve/COVID list) is out, it’s tough to know whether Hill would then draw even more targets or be shut down to an extent with all the defensive attention on him.

Again, he’s a must-start regardless of circumstances if he plays, so don’t overthink it. The upside far outweighs the risk and downside.

Week 16

I wish I could tell you that Week 16 was going to be about the best players deciding most Fantasy playoff matchups. But due to COVID-19 and several players being out, that’s not likely the case.

Some of the players placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list this week include Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Austin Ekeler, Brandin Cooks, Jared Goff, Cole Beasley and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. We also have several players still on the list from last week as of Wednesday afternoon, including Tyler Lockett, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, Tyler Higbee, Allen Robinson, Kadarius Toney, Baker Mayfield and Taylor Heinicke.

Tyreek Hill

These last two weeks, there have been some pretty big names that have gone on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and have been unavailable for the start of the fantasy playoffs. This week, the Kansas City Chiefs have been hit hard by the virus, with star tight end Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill going on the list
