Tyler Toffoli is most known as a Canadian professional ice hockey forward playing for the Vancouver Canucks of NHL. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round, 47th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Toffoli was born on April 24 1992 in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. His father named, Rob Toffoli and his mother named, Mandy Toffoli. Tyler’s father Rob was also involved in hockey. He has two sisters named, Megan and Courtney.
Trade:
Toffoli played seven-and-a-half seasons with the Los Angeles Kings to begin his NHL career before a trade to the Vancouver Canucks last year. The right-winger had a total of 44 points in 68 regular-season games in 2019-20, with another four points in seven post-season games for the Canucks.
The Canadiens are now over the upper salary-cap limit of $81.5 million for the 2020-21 season, meaning a contract or two may need to be moved before the start of the next campaign to make the 23-man roster compliant.
Injury:
Tyler Toffoli will be out until at least Sunday for the Montreal Canadiens because of a lower-body injury.
The forward won’t play against the Edmonton Oilers if there are games Wednesday and Friday.
The game scheduled for Monday between Edmonton and Montreal was postponed because Canadiens forwards Joel Armia and Jesperi Kotkaniemi entered NHL COVID-19 protocol.
Toffoli leads Montreal with 18 goals and is tied for first in points (27) with defenseman Jeff Petry.
