Tyler Randall Gibbs (born October 4, 2002) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 54 Toyota Supra for Gibbs Racing, and part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 23 Toyota Camry for 23XI Racing. Gibbs was the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion and the 2021 ARCA Menards Series Champion. He is the grandson of former NFL coach and current NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs.

A statement from Joe Gibbs Racing said 49-year-old Coe Gibbs died in his sleep. Coy Gibbs was a co-owner of the team founded by his father and served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President.
“It is with great sadness that Joe Gibbs Racing has confirmed that Coe Gibbs went to live with God in his sleep last night,” the team’s statement said.
“The family appreciates all the thoughts and prayers and calls for privacy at this time.”
Many of JGR’s employees were close to Koy, who helped run the day-to-day operations of the team.
Ty Gibbs was supposed to race in the Cup event on Sunday. Daniel Heimrich replaced him in the 23XI Racing No. 23 car. All four JGR Cup drivers competed in the race with Christopher Bell, one of four drivers vying for the Cup title.
Coy Gibbs himself was an aspiring NASCAR driver who competed in 39 NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2002–2003. He retired from racing and later turned his attention to running Joe Gibbs Racing’s motocross teams.
About seven years ago, Coy Gibbs became more involved with NASCAR teams as his brother, JD Gibbs, began suffering from a neurological disease. JD Gibbs also passed away in 2019 at the age of 49.

Coy Gibbs also played college football at Stanford from 1991–94, helping the team tackle its senior season.
