Tua Tagovailoa is back on the field after pulling out of the Dolphins’ game against the Bills at the end of the first half with a head injury. The dolphins were labeled as suspicious to return.
Tagovailoa hit his head on the ground after a late push by Bills linebacker Matt Milano. Tagovailoa, who was staggering and struggling to stay on his feet after being shot in the head, was helped by Miami medical staff in the locker room. Milano was marked for unnecessary roughness in the play. In Tagovailoa’s absence, the score was tied at 14-14.
Teddy Bridgewater temporarily replaced Tagovailoa, 8 for 10 for 76 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game. The injury did not appear serious, however, as Tagovailoa led the Dolphins’ offense on his first drive of the second half.
Hit
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa took on Bills LB Matt Milano. When he got up, he stumbled and fell.
Injury
Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa, who is battling back and ankle injuries, has not been ruled out for Thursday.
Miami is not holding a normal practice week because of Thursday night’s game. Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters that if the Dolphins had had a normal practice week, Tagovailoa would have been limited in practice and would have been suspicious of the game. According to McDaniel, pain tolerance and stability of the ankle and back will determine its availability. Fictional managers should learn more on Wednesday. A streamer should consider Trevor Lawrence, Marcus Mariota, Ryan Tanhill or Jared Goff.

Another week, another list of notable NFL players whose health status is the subject of major conversation. Dak Prescott kicked things off earlier this week when he didn’t rule out playing this Sunday after having stitches removed from his surgically repaired thumb. Prescott is itching to get back on the field after watching teammate and backup Cooper Rush, lead the Cowboys to a pair of victories over the past two weeks.
Prescott isn’t the only notable player who has struggled with injury. Christian McCaffrey exercises for the Panthers to endure a thigh injury. Tua Tagovailoa’s position for Miami’s Thursday night game in Cincinnati is doubtful, although he is reportedly expected to play. Keenan Allen is hoping to play for the first time since a hamstring injury in the Chargers’ debut season. Jets fans are hoping Zach Wilson makes his season debut this Sunday in Pittsburgh, where Steelers fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Minka Fitzpatrick might play after entering concussion protocol.
