Tua Tagovailoa: Fantasy| Injury update| Will play this weekend

Fantasy:

His 7.2 average throw depth was 42nd in the NFL. Only 10% of Tua’s throws were beyond 20+ yards downfield (23rd). On those throws, he had a 76.7 passer rating (25th). … I am not saying he is a must-start, but Tua’s fantasy outlook is far better in 2021 than some are giving him credit for.

Even just as a passive observer, I am still shocked at how quickly fans are giving up on Tua. Have we lost perspective on how damn hard it is to play quarterback in the NFL? Now, don’t get me wrong. Tua did give plenty of reason for people to doubt him heading into 2021.

Injury update:

Tua Tagovailoa: Fantasy| Injury update| Will play this weekend

The Miami Dolphins lost franchise QB Tua Tagovailoa with a rib injury in Week 2. With Tua being placed on the injured reserve on September 25, the hope was that he could return when eligible in Week 6. Is Tua still on track to return in Week 6, or will the Dolphins have to roll with a different QB in London?

Update 10/15/21: Head coach Brian Flores has said that if Tua Tagovailoa practices today, he will be expected to start in London on Sunday.

Will play this weekend:

Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores said Friday that barring a setback, Tua Tagovailoa will start Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

“Assuming everything goes well in practice today, Tua’s going to start the game,” Flores said. Tagovailoa missed the past three games with fractured ribs. He was designated to return from IR after rejoining practices this week.
