New accuser
As The Post reports, the accuser, who lives in Columbus, claims he met Bauer on a dating app while he was still a minor leaguer at the Cleveland Guardians organization. Reportedly, she claims that he repeatedly forced her into unconsciousness, even though they agreed that he would stop, and that he rammed her while she was unconscious.
The woman said she consented to suffocate, but only to the point where she felt like she was about to lose consciousness. At one point, the woman said she had choked to the point of convulsions while the two were at a Cleveland fan festival, The Post reported.
She is reportedly in possession of a video of herself struggling to breathe as Bauer presses her during sex, but declined to post or share it with MLB due to leaking concerns.
2 year suspension
Major League Baseball is suspending Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer for 324 games, the equivalent of two full seasons, without being paid for violating its combined domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy.
USA Today’s Bob Nightingale provided the league’s full press release:
Bauer announced that he would appeal the suspension:
The 2020 National League Cy Young winner has not appeared in a game for the Dodgers since June 2021.
On June 30, Brittany Ghiroli and Katie Strang of The Athletic reported that a woman had obtained a temporary restraining order against Bauer after she accused him of sexually assaulting her on two occasions. The woman said that he strangled her until she fainted, punched her several times and committed sexual acts, to which she did not consent.
Victim pictures
In the photos, which are contained within a restraining order request by Hill’s team, she is seen with bruises under both eyes and bruises on both her upper and lower lips. A partial side-profile image also shows the woman with multiple bruises on her cheek.
In a statement provided by DailyMail.com, attorney Brian Friedman said: ‘Look at this picture. Anyone – absolutely no one – can consent to this logically or legally,’ Friedman told the news outlet. Trevor Bauer’s team keeps trying to abuse the victim of an attack. They need to stop. just.’
The photo release comes two days after Bauer’s lawyers issued a text message where Hill reportedly described their encounters as ‘consensual’ but said the baseball player punched her, leaving her with black eyes. Killing her, making her unconscious, ‘took it too far’, and mistreating her without her consent.
Bauer, 30, has been fighting the claims ever since they were made public when she filed for a restraining order against him in late June.
He is facing a court hearing on the restraining order scheduled for August 16-19.
In a statement released to TMZ, the baseball star’s legal team called statements issued by Ms Hill’s attorney, Brian Friedman, “deliberately false.”
