The Dodgers announced Tuesday that Joe LaSorda, the widow of longtime Los Angeles Dodgers manager and Hall of Famer Tommy LaSorda, has died at the age of 91.
Joe Lasorda was surrounded by loved ones just before 9 p.m. Monday at his Fullerton home, the team announced in a news release.

Fullerton
The city of Fullerton, where Tommy LaSorda lived for the better part of seven decades, will honor the Los Angeles Dodgers legend next week.
Fullerton declared September 22 as Tommy LaSorda Day, which would have been the Dodger manager’s 94th birthday.
Lasorda and his family lived in Fullerton for 68 years.
Dave Kingman
On May 14, 1978, minutes after the Chicago Cubs defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 10–7, Olden asked Lasorda his opinion of three home runs by Dave Kingman. It became the second biggest rant of Lasorda’s career.
“What is my opinion of Kingman’s performance? What do you think (the exception) is my opinion about it? I think it was (Expective). Put him in. I don’t care (imperfect),” Lasorda started.
Wife
The team confirmed on Tuesday that Joe Lasorda died on Monday evening at the couple’s Fullerton home. There was no immediate word on the cause of death.
The couple had been married for 70 years. Lasorda died of a heart attack in January at the age of 93.
Joe Lasorda is survived by his daughter, granddaughter and sister.
Tommy LaSorda, one of the most iconic figures in baseball history, managed the Dodgers for 21 seasons from 1976 to 1996. He won two World Series titles in 1981 and 1988.
The city of Fullerton, meanwhile, where the couple lived for the better part of seven decades, previously announced that it would honor LaSorda with LaSorda Day on Wednesday, his 94th birthday.
