Thomas Daniel Weiskopf was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour. His most successful decade was the 1970s. He won 16 PGA Tour titles between 1968 and 1982, including the 1973 Open Championship.

Health 2022:
Tom Weiskopf was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2020. After Tom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the doctor took quick action.
Tom experienced severe stomach pain in November. A CT scan at a Montana hospital later revealed a tumor on the athlete’s pancreas.

Former pro golfer Tom Weiskopf, a 16-time PGA Tour winner, has died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 79.
Between 1968 and 1982, he won the PGA Tour, including a memorable victory in the British Open at Royal Troon in 1973. In the Masters, he came in second place four times, and held a tie for second place at the U.S. Open in 1976.

Weiskopf died Saturday at his home in Big Sky, Montana, at the age of 79, his wife said. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2020.
Laurie Weiskopf said Tom was working last week at The Club at Spanish Peaks and attended a legacy luncheon at the o club where he was designing “The Legacy: Tom’s Ten,” a collection of his 10 favorite par 3s.

Weiskopf experienced all corners of the game, from his time as a PGA Tour player to his broadcast work as a golf commentator as well as a noted golf course designer.
