Knee injury update
It is expected that Trobojevic will miss football at least next month as a result. The best-case scenario is an eighth-round comeback against South Sydney. Worst case scenario a fortnight later during the Magic Round against the Broncos.
The good news for NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler is that Trobojevic will be fit in time for the State of Origin series starting in Sydney in June. Even though Trbojevi returned in six weeks, he would play three games before Fettler named his team for the opening game of the series.
The Sea Eagles have previously struggled without Trobojevic at their side. He lost four of his opening five matches of the season last year as he battled to make a comeback from a hamstring injury.
He lost two of the next 15 regular season games with him, as the fullback produced a season for the ages that crowned him the Daily M Player of the Year.
When will return

Manly’s Brave victory against Canberra over the weekend has been spoiled by news that Tom Trobojevic is set to undergo minor knee surgery.
Trobojevic maintained mediocre tension in the 25-6 win at Mudgi and though he played in pain, the Sea Eagles superstar left the ground with a knee.
Trobojevic managed to take 80 minutes, despite having a knee concern, indicating he would be fit to face Newcastle in the fifth round.
However, subsequent scans have found a measurable strain that required surgery, with the Sea Eagles confirming that Trobojevic will be sidelined for the next month.
Surgery
Star manly fullback Tom Trobojevic will undergo surgery for an injured knee and be out of action for at least four weeks in a major blow to the Sea Eagles’ NRL premiership campaign.
The 25-year-old underwent a scan on Monday after suffering an injury in Saturday’s 25-6 win over Canberra in Mudgi.
Trabojevic tried to play it after the match, limping during the game, calling it a “grade three carry-on”.
But on Sunday he was seen in brace for fear he could be sidelined for a longer stint.
The club said Monday’s scans revealed a measurable tear that required surgery and that he would miss at least a month of action.
Trobojevic was ruled out of the opening five rounds last year after tearing his hamstring and missing a few more games in the middle of the season with a cheekbone fracture.
But he still managed to win the Daily M Medal and set a new Manly club record, making 28 attempts in just 18 games.
