Misses practice
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady missed practice Thursday for personal reasons and will not return to the team after the Buccaneers’ second presidential game on August 20 against the Titans, head coach Todd Bowles told reporters.
“Tom is forgiven today,” Bowles said. “He’ll be back to Tennessee sometime later. He’s going to deal with some personal things.
“This is something we talked about before the training camp started. We allotted this time because he wanted to adjust with the boys and go through a two-week training camp. Knowing that he would not play the first two games, he did not want to take reps from Blaine (Gabert) and Kyle (Trask), as well as (Ryan Griffin), going as far as these next two games. . ,
The Bucs and the Miami Dolphins have been engaged in joint practice over the past two days and will face each other at their respective presidential openers on Saturday night. Bowles previously stated that Brady would not play in the game.
