Tom Brady halftime ceremony: Half time show| Halftime speech
Three years after leaving the Patriots and seven months after retiring from pro football, Tom Brady is back in New England.
The franchise and the greatest quarterback in NFL history has returned to his old stomping grounds at Gillette Stadium for ceremonial reasons. Brady was invited to be honored at halftime of the team’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Until now, the Patriots have kept their plans a secret. However, team owner Robert Kraft said earlier this week that the team planned “something special and unique” to celebrate the man who led New England to six Super Bowl victories.
“He’s really excited and I’m excited, because our fans never got a chance to say goodbye in a proper way,” Kraft told reporters at Gillette Stadium earlier this week. “We’re going to do something special and unique with him.”

Half time show
Brady was honored during halftime of the Patriots vs. Eagles game at Gillette Stadium.
Halftime speech
Tom Brady returned to Gillette Stadium on Sunday and was honored with a ceremony during halftime of the Patriots-Eagles game.
Brady — who opened the game by ringing the bell at the top of the new lighthouse — unzipped his jacket to reveal his No. 12 Patriots jersey and ran down the sideline, just like he did during his two-decade run in New England Were. He ended by shouting, “Let’s go!” Before taking the stage with her three children.
Before he began his speech, Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced he was waiving the four-year waiting period and would induct Brady into the team’s Hall of Fame next June.
Brady thanked his family and former teammates (many in attendance) before concluding his speech, saying, “One thing I’m sure about and will never change is that I will be a Patriot for life.”
Brady will return to Gillette Stadium for his induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame on June 12, 2024.
