After much anticipation, Capital One’s match is almost here!
Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes will face off against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers in this year’s installment of Capital One’s The Match.
The live 12-hole golf event will take place today at 7 p.m. from Wynn Las Vegas. TNT will broadcast the event with coverage starting at 6:30 pm. It will also air on TruTV and HLN as well as the TNT app.
Allen and Mahomes have been fierce competitors over the years, with the Bills and Chiefs meeting twice in the past two seasons. Despite being competitive, there is mutual respect between the two. Allen is excited to team up with Brady and Rodgers to face them at a golf event.
“I talk to him a lot, actually,” Allen said of being a teammate with Mahomes. “I don’t think it’s going to be awkward at all. We get on very well outside of football. We’ve got a lot of respect for each other inside football and on the field.
“But I think Pat and me will have a better rapport than the other two guys who have been fighting against each other for the past 18 years and where Pat and I are just starting to go… . That would be a lot of fun. I’m so excited for the opportunity to do that.”

There’s a photo that UCLA coach Kelly Inouye-Perez holds in a still, one that remains highly emotional, as it helps explain how the Bruins landed one of their future superstars.
A superstar who has a famous superstar uncle or two.
In the photo, 9-year-old Maya Brady stands front and center in UCLA gear, smiling big. The entire team dressed in uniform is smiling around him. Inouye-Perez is closed on one side of the photo. Maya’s “Uncle Tommy” Brady is also at left in the photo.
Maya Brady fell in love with UCLA softball after the Bruins won the Women’s College World Series in 2010. Already a talented softball player in his own right, Brady zeroed in on one player in particular: freshman outfielder Bibi Bates, a player who looked like him, leading him to believe it was possible that he too. One day he could play at UCLA.
He attended summer softball camp at UCLA, and then his traveling ball coach, Mike Stith, arranged to take young Brady to a game and meet-up with the team. Her mother, Maureen, sister and uncle (yes Tom Brady) accompany her on the trip, and she finally gets the chance to meet her idol.
“I remember being so nervous because it was my first UCLA game I ever went to,” Brady says now. “I was that shy little 9-year-old that coaches would ask questions, and I would just smile and look at my mom because I couldn’t even speak.
“My uncle Tommy was with me because he had moved to LA at the time and UCLA was right next to his house, so we wanted him to go with us to make it even more special for me.”

For the second year in a row in The Match, it turned green for Aaron Rodgers. For the second year in a row, the Packers QB clutch arrived.
Josh Allen nearly made a long put on the 12th and final hole as the match was tied, but it was shortened by an inch. Patrick Mahomes’ putt goes wide right, giving Tom Brady and Rodgers a chance to win. Brady’s 15-foot putt was just right, but Rodgers, who teamed up with Bryson DeChambeau to win the match in 2021, sank a game-winning putt, making it easy to pull off a 15-foot putt to win the match .
“I had a great feeling about it,” Rodgers told the TNT broadcast. “Tom read me really good and I listened to Trevor [Imelman] and Charles [Barkley] in my headphones thought I was going to make it. When I hit it I felt good about a lie and I knew Was that it was going in.”
