Injury
Thomas Tuchel has provided an update on Timo Werner’s hamstring injury, which replaced him in the first part of Chelsea’s Champions League win over Malmö.
The 25-year-old was pulled up with a hamstring injury just before half-time and was replaced by Callum Hudson-Odoi a minute before the interval.
After also forcing Romelu Lukaku (ankle) in the opening 54, Werner closed the tunnel straight into the medical room, Chelsea’s second injury of the night.
It was a disappointing double blow for Thomas Tuchel, who will be hoping the German’s injury is not too serious.
After the 4-0 win, Tuchel gave an update on the German and revealed: “Muscle injury and hamstring for Timo. He will be out some day, I think.”
