Press Conference live:

Woods suffered comminuted open fractures to both the tibia and the fibula in his right leg after losing control of his vehicle outside of Los Angeles on Feb. 23. He was rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and subsequently transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he spent three weeks and faced the possibility of amputation.

“There was a point in time when, I wouldn’t say it was 50/50, but it was damn near there if I was going to walk out of that hospital with one leg. Once, I wanted to test and see if I still had my hands. So even in the hospital, I would have [girlfriend] Erica [Herman] and [friend] Rob [McNamara] throw me something. Throw me anything.”

Mount Everest:

Talking about his career plans the professional golfer said he will not be making a full-time return to the sport following his horrific car accident in Los Angeles, earlier this year.

In his Golf Digest interview, Tiger said, “This time around, I don’t think I’ll have the body to climb Mount Everest and that’s OK.” The line got many viewers confused who began wondering if the golfer, 45, is one of the people who have climbed the peak.

The revelation comes on the heels of Woods’ first public comments in nearly nine months: a 40-minute interview in which Woods discussed his injuries, his path back to professional golf, and his advice for his son Charlie.

On the topic of the accident in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif., Woods had plenty to say — though the news might come as a stark dose of reality for many hoping for a similar comeback to the one Woods completed in 2018.
