Cameron Smith and Cameron Young currently sit 1-2 on the leaderboard at St Andrews as Rory McIlroy climbs the ladder with two holes to play in the second round.
Smith’s eagle shot on the 14th hole gave him a three-stroke lead – the largest of the tournament. He also carded six birdies on the day to finish at 8-under par with four holes remaining.
Also notable on the British Open leaderboard are Scheffler, Cantley, Hovland and Matthew Fitzpatrick – all four of whom are currently ranked in the top 10 of the World Golf Rankings.

Friday tee time
Tiger will tee-up with friends Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas at the Riviera on Thursday and Friday. Thursday’s first round will take place at 3:04 p.m. ET. ET, while their Friday tee time will be 10:24 a.m. ET.
Tiger Woods will get Round 1 of the tournament underway on Thursday, teeing off just after noon local time.
