Tiffany Jackson-Jones (April 26, 1985 – October 3, 2022) was an American basketball player and coach. He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns, earning All-American honors. Jackson played professionally in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) for the New York Liberty, Tulsa Shock and Los Angeles Sparks. She also played in the Israeli Premier League for Maccabi Ashdod. She later returned to Texas as an assistant coach for the Longhorns.

WNBA star Tiffany Jackson, a standout on the University of Texas women’s basketball team, died of cancer on Monday at the age of 37, her alma mater announced.
Jackson had a decorated career, reaching stardom during his time at the University of Texas from 2003 to 2007 and entering the WNBA as the No. 5 pick in the 2007 draft. After nine seasons, she returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach, the university announced her death in a statement.
The school said Jackson was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in September 2015.
Passed away

Jackson was a three-time All-Big 12 selection and was voted National Freshman of the Year in 2004 by the US Basketball Writers Association. He spent his Texas career ranked in the top five in career points, rebounds, and steals. She is the only Longhorn player to reach 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 steals and 150 blocks in a career.

Former WNBA player and Texas basketball legend Tiffany Jackson died Monday after a seven-year battle with breast cancer, the University of Texas announced. She was 37 years old.
“Tiffany had a wonderful career and was an impressive player,” her former coach Jodie Conrad said in a press release. “She was recognized for her all-round play and the fact that she was tremendously mobile and could play in many positions. She was beloved by teammates, and we share in the sadness of her passing.”
From 2003–07, Jackson appeared in 123 games and made 103 starts for the Longhorns. The forward is the only player in program history to record 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 steals and 150 blocks. Her 1,917 career points are the fifth-highest in school history, and her 1,039 career rebounds are her fourth-all-time.

Jody Conrad, who coached Jackson in Texas between 2003 and 2007, paid tribute in a statement to the university: “Tiffany’s had a stellar career and was an impressive player.
