Dwayne Douglas Johnson (born May 2, 1972), also known by his ring name, The Rock, is an American actor, producer and semi-retired professional wrestler.
Johnson was a college football player for the University of Miami, where he won a national championship in the 1991 Miami Hurricane Team.
After being cut from CFL’s two-month Calgary Stampeders in the 1995 season, he started training for career in professional wrestling.
He walked in the footsteps of family members, including his grandfather Peter Mavia and his father Rocky Johnson, from which he got Canadian citizenship in 2009.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, From 1996 to 2004, Johnson received mainstream fame in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE)
And was promoted as the first third generation. The wrestler in the company’s history.
He returned part-time from the WWE from 2011 to 2013 and occasionally appears on the show.

Like his father and grandfather, many of the other (non-blood) relatives of Johnson were professional wrestlers, in which their uncle, Aafa and Sika Anoi (The Wild Samoan) and their cousins, Rodney (Yokozuna), Solofha (Rikshi) , Matt was involved.

Dwayne Johnson actually met the woman who was about to become his wife at the University of Mami.
Her name is Danny Garcia, and both of them got married on May 3, 1997.
Danny Garcia became a part of the Board of Trustees for the University of Mami and established a Miami-based fund management firm.
Both have a daughter whom they named Simon. He was born on August 14, 2001. In June 2007, the couple announced that they were getting separated.
After divorce, Dwayne Johnson started dating Lauren Hashian.
Both were found during the shooting of The Rock, The Game Plan. Lauren Hassian is the daughter of the late departed Sib Hassian of Boston.
