Terrell Owens says he is “100 percent” sure he can still play in the NFL… telling TMZ Sports he wants a team to sign him and give him a chance to play ASAP!! !
“There’s no doubt, 100 percent, that I can play in the National Football League today,” Owens says.
The 47-year-old Hall of Famer tells us she’s still in amazing shape — claiming to have run 4.4 40-yard dashes a few days ago — and says that if a team signs her, she won’t be disappointed.
“I’m not washed up…” Owens tells us, adding, “Once you know how to ride a bike, you know, you don’t forget to ride that bike.”
Of course, T.O. Having not played a regular season in the league since the 2010 season, he was dominant that year … accumulating 983 yards and 9 TDs on 72 catches.
And, Owens says that despite being a free agent for more than a decade, he hasn’t really stopped training.
“I’ve been on the track, and, honestly, I probably ran like a week ago,” Owens tells us. “I was looked at like 4.4. Probably faster than I have in no time.”
In fact, Owens says he’s actually taken an interest in the NFL this summer from at least one “personal”…
“With that conversation I had, he told me to keep myself in shape – anything can happen,” Owens tells us. “And, therefore, that’s what I’m doing.”

Owens has an excellent football resume and ranks third on the NFL’s all-time list with 15,934 receiving yards and 153 touchdown catches. He began playing professionally in 1996 and was on the roster for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals during his 14-year career. However, the 48-year-old hasn’t played an NFL game since 2010.
The touchdown happened when the clock was running out and the Zappers – the team Owens was playing for – were already far behind, but the effort was still there.
The Zappers had a time of 1 and 10 with three seconds left on the clock. Quarterback Johnny Manziel threw a 12-yard pass into the end zone and Owens recorded his first reception of the game. The Zappers lost 20–12 to the Sholda Bean Stars, but Owens pointed out that it was only the first game.
