Injury update
Before leaving with that injury in Week 1, Higgins caught both of his goals for 27 yards, pacing in front of Jammer Chase for another big day. Considering how coaches have talked about the injury throughout the week, it’s reasonable to expect he’ll play the normal workload in Dallas.
Dad
Higgins was reportedly attending the funeral of his father, who passed away two weeks ago. His absence had nothing to do with his injury. Clearly, Higgins is going through a lot right now and football is not at the top of his mind. But the fact that he returned to practice on Friday is a good sign that he will clear concussion protocol.
The Bengals travel to Dallas to take on Cowboys Sunday. This is a very important match for both the teams. Dallas lost its season opener 19–3 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also lost his quarterback, Dak Prescott, to a hand injury. Reports vary but he is expected to be missing at least next month.
Status
The season started off poorly for the Cincinnati Bengals. After losing in overtime to rival Steelers, the defending AFC champs also lost T Higgins, a wide receiver, during the game. Higgins is officially listed as a suspect on this week’s injury report. However, after missing Thursday’s practice due to personal reasons, he returned as a full participant on Friday. The team is expected to clear the concussion protocol before 4:25 pm on Sunday. ET kickoff against Dallas Cowboys.
Fantasy Football Implications
Higgins caught two passes for 27 yards before leaving last week’s game. He is coming off the 1,091-yard season, the No. 2 choice behind Jammer Chase in Cinci’s passing attack. Given the team’s confidence in Higgins’ availability this week, he’s probably safe to add to your lineup in what should be a plus matchup.
If it turns out that Higgins can’t go, Tyler Boyd will have increased fantasy appeal, possibly serving as a second option after the Chase in the Bengals offense.
Is playing today
Bengals WR T Higgins is officially active for team games against the Dallas Cowboys. The easiest way to play Underdog Fantasy.
