Atlanta TV station WSB-TV reported that the crash happened just before midnight on Halloween when the vehicle in which the Ramses and their children were traveling collided with a tractor trailer that had veered into the left lane of an interstate exit.

Her mother, Akili Ramses, a photojournalist who is the executive director of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), announced the death of her and her two daughters in an Instagram post.
