The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football team based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the National Football Conference (NFC) South Division of the league. The club joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team with the Seattle Seahawks, and played its first season in the American Football Conference (AFC) West Division. Before the 1977 season, Tampa Bay switched conferences and divisions with Seattle becoming a member of the NFC Central Division. As a result of the league’s reorganization prior to the 2002 season, the Buccaneers joined three former NFC West teams to form NFC South. The club is owned by the Glazer family and plays its home games at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.

The Books’ relatable winning streaks won’t be the only thing on the line this Sunday. With their fifth consecutive win and 10th straight home win, they would become the champions of the NFC South for the first time since 2007. Now he’s making history, and to do so against the Saints – the division winners for the past four years – would be so sweet. While the entire team wants to scribble their name in the history books as the franchise’s seventh division-champion team, there will be some individuals who want to work towards history as well. Let’s see where things are heading in Sunday night’s Week 15 clash.

Injury report

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released their final injury report for Sunday night’s home performance against the New Orleans Saints, and there is a notable update. Bucks quarterback Tom Brady was reported this week with a right shoulder injury, though he was listed as a full participant in Friday’s practice. He was not given a special status for Sunday’s game, so don’t expect an injury to affect his availability.

Playoffs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their Week 16 game in Carolina in convincing fashion, won the 2021 NFC South title and were somehow taken down the overall conference standings. This is still good news overall. The Buccaneers’ first goal was to capture that South flag to ensure they would start at least the 2021 playoffs at home. It is now set in stone. The seeds are juggled between the four NFC Division champions, including a three-way tie between the Tampa Bay, Dallas and Los Angeles Rams, all at 11-4. Green Bay is currently the top seed with an NFL-best 12-3 record. The big difference from a week ago is that after taking first place to the Cardinals following Arizona’s third straight loss, those Rams are now in control of the NFC West. This resets tiebreaker scenarios as the Rams have a one-on-one win over the Buccaneers and a better record against conference opponents. That’s why Tampa Bay fell from third to four seed despite winning in week 16 – they were a much better tiebreaker situation with the Rams than the Cardinals. Of course, two weeks provides plenty of time and opportunity to change that. The Buccaneers have a one-on-one tiebreaker over the Cowboys, which will come in handy if only those two teams are up at the end of the season. And, of course, the Buccaneers could be seeded second if they win their last two games and the Rams lose once. To advance all the way to the number one NFC seed and get a first-round bye, the Buccaneers would need the Packers to lose each of their last two games.
