According to Tom Pelicero of NFL Network, Tee T.J. Hockenson has been traded from the Detroit Lions to the Minnesota Vikings prior to the NFL’s trade deadline.

Hawkenson adds another weapon to the Minnesota Viking’s passing attack. TE Irv Smith Jr. sprained an ankle in a team game in Week 8, so Hawkenson comes in to replace him. The Vikings are sending 2023 sec and 2024 fourth, 2023 fourth and 2024 conditional fourth for Hkensen. Hockenson continues to make weekly appeals at the TE position, and he also has solid weekly touchdowns in some rush-off offense.

according to multiple reports. Okwuegbunam is garnering interest ahead of the league’s Nov. 1 trade deadline. The Broncos may realistically consider trading Okwuegbunam should the appropriate offer arrive.

has quickly supplanted Okwuegbunam in Denver’s starting lineup. Dulcich recorded two receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown while accounting for 71% of Denver’s offensive snaps.

Contract
The Lions exercised the fifth-year option on Hockenson’s rookie contract this spring, guaranteeing him a $9.392 million salary for 2023.
Lions general manager Brad Holmes said in March the team had internal discussions about extensions for Hockenson and fellow 2019 draft pick Amani Oruwariye, but Hockenson said “I don’t even think (negotiations have) started, so no worries.”
Oruwariye will be an unrestricted free agent after the season.
Hockenson has been a focal point of the Lions offense since they made him the No. 8 pick of the 2019 draft. He missed the final four games of his 32-catch rookie season with a broken bone in his leg, then rebounded to set career-highs with 67 catches, 723 yards and six touchdowns in his Pro Bowl year of 2020.
