Get ahead in the Nintendo Switch™ sports game with the Leg Strap Accessory. The leg strap accessory and Joy-Con™ (L) controller work together to help you turn your real-world leg movements into in-game motions, like kicking a ball in soccer. Simply insert the Joy-Con (L) controller into the slot and strap it to your foot and you’ll be able to kick the ball effortlessly in a soccer shoot-out! Other soccer matches will take advantage of this accessory through a future free software update for Nintendo Switch Sports. Be sure to check out https://sports.nintendo.com for more details when they become available. The leg strap accessory is compatible with Nintendo Switch™ Sports and Ring Fit Adventure™ games and can be purchased separately for those who have the digital version of Nintendo Switch Sports or want a second leg strap for their same-system soccer sessions. Huh.

The Joy-Con controller is not included.

It’s one thing to lose a typical local multiplayer game, a smash or soul caliber or what have you. It’s another entirely to get lit over and over again with a foam sword, just because one of your friends is “trained in combat sports” so “very good” at this sort of thing. Or sit there, as another friend—a bottle of beer in one hand, a Joy-Con in the other—bowls 13 consecutive strikes during his first game. Or to try and spike volleyball… travel, fall flat on your face, and lose the point.

Yes, you can travel in Nintendo Switch Sports—or at least I can.

Pre order

Nintendo Switch Sports Pre-Order Bonus
Nintendo Switch Sports is just a month away from release, so we’ve rolled out a pre-order guide for the game and it will be updated with news about bonuses hitting stores. The title can be reserved at most major retailers right now.

For those who missed the original announcement, Nintendo Switch Sports is looking to capture the magic of Wii Sports games, with a few changes and updates. Football, Volleyball, Bowling, Tennis, Badminton, and Chambara (Swordplay) are all included with Golf planned for updates this fall. It is also possible to face off against others around the world and try to reach the Pro League in every game. Additionally, players can earn points against other users, which can then be spent on rewards for their avatars.
