Interesting times ahead at Midlands Club and we wish them all the best. Rangers fans must be disappointed to see him lose, but he did an excellent job in his time in Scotland.

Curran and why she wanted him to leave the Rangers amid the sacrifice
Aston Villa’s newly-appointed manager Steven Gerrard admitted his wife wanted him to leave Rangers a year earlier – having sacrificed a lot along with his family to move to Scotland.

Steven Gerrard has always made it clear that he was never going to be at Rangers for long.

The Liverpool legend headed north to make his big move in management, taking charge of the Glasgow side in 2018 and ending Celtic’s nine-year struggle over the Scottish title in 2021.

However, Gerrard is leaving the Scottish champions after being appointed Aston Villa manager, who moved quickly to bring down the 41-year-old following the sacking of Dean Smith earlier this month.

Despite being in the middle of the current campaign, Gerrard has decided on an opportunity to return to the south side which he cannot refuse and has signed a deal in the West Midlands until the summer of 2025.

One person who would be particularly thrilled with the Switch is Gerard’s wife, Alex Curran, who wanted her husband to leave the Rangers a year earlier.

When Gerrard went to play for the LA Galaxy in 2015, the family moved to the US picking up the sticks, but it was a different story when he moved to Scotland.
