Shirtless:
On Saturday night at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., the home Georgia Bulldogs laid the smackdown on their oldest rival, the Auburn Tigers.
What was supposed to be a touchdown game, at least according to the guys in the desert, was never particularly close, with the Dawgs dominating from the moment the ball kicked and winning 27-6. The performance from the UGA defense was impressive, but most impressive was the play from starting quarterback Stetson Bennett IV.
Father:
Stetson Bennett III, Bennett’s father and the owner of three pharmacies in a 30-mile radius, fully understands chasing a dream. He played high school football and was a walk-on quarterback at Georgia Southern in the late 1980s.
Stetson was born to his parents Denise and Stetson Bennett in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents met and graduated from UGA college of pharmacy and combined own seven pharmacies in South Georgia.
Years of Eligibility:
Though Bennett is a fifth-year senior, he has the option of playing one more year if he chooses.
Like all other college football players, whether they participated during last year’s coronavirus pandemic season, the NCAA ruled last year that the 2020 season of eligibility would not count against FBS players.
2021:
After an undefeated regular season, the Georgia Bulldogs are facing off against Alabama in the 2021 SEC Championship Game Saturday.
The game is set to begin at 4 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with UGA quarterback Stetson Bennett in what will be the most highly anticipated game of his college career.
