Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has graduated from Davidson College, the school announced Sunday morning.
Curry, who helped lead the Warriors to a 110-96 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in GameĀ of their second-round series on Friday to advance to the Western Conference Finals, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in sociology.Ā
Davidson said that Curry was one semester short of graduating and re-enrolled for the spring semester at the school. Davidson said he did not attend early Sunday, but his name was listed as one of the graduates.
Curry attended the North Carolina school from 2006 to 2009 and is arguably the best player in Davidson’s history, as the school’s all-time leader in points, 3-pointers, free throws, field goals, and steals.
Curry’s graduation will likely result in his number retiring at Davidson. The college only retires the number of players who graduate.

Curry helped Davidson in upsets against high-ranked teams such as Gonzaga, Georgetown and Wisconsin. Curry and Davidson’s run in the Elite Eight ended in a two-point loss to Kansas.
Curry returned for his junior season, earning unanimous first-team All-American honors before entering the NBA draft.
