Wardell Stephen Curry II is the son of Sonya and Dale Curry. He was born at Summa Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio (the same hospital where LeBron James was born three years earlier), while his father was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his father spent most of his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets. Dale often took Curry and his younger brother Seth to their games, where they would shoot with the Hornets during practice. The family moved briefly to Toronto, where Dale joined one of the Raptors.

Oscar

“Queen of Basketball” — with a pair of basketball legends in the 22-minute film executive producers and top promoters amongst O’Neill and Stephen Curry — won the Academy Award for short subject documentary on Sunday.

Harris helped Delta State University win three straight national championships in the 1970s and earned a silver medal for the United States at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Harris was selected by the New Orleans Jazz in the seventh round of the 1977 NBA Draft, but she was pregnant at the time and never actually went on to try to make the team.

Proudfoot also used the winning Oscars moment to call for the release of two-time Olympic gold medalist and top female athlete Brittany Griner, who is jailed in Russia. Griner was reportedly taken into custody after arriving at Moscow airport in mid-February, when Russian officials said a search of his luggage revealed vape cartridges allegedly containing cannabis oil.

The Golden State Warriors host the Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center on Wednesday. Both the teams are facing each other for the fourth and final time this season and their last three matches have been TV worth watching. The Warriors lead the season 2-1 in the series and many have predicted this is a Western Conference Finals preview.

The Suns have been a juggler throughout the season, consistently blowing away teams and no holes in their offense. They are in the top 3 in both defensive and offensive ratings and even when Chris Paul and Devin Booker missed games, the team didn’t block their way to victory.

The Golden State Warriors will have everyone but Stephen Curry and James Wiseman to contend with. Curry is still recovering from his leg sprain and Wiseman is out for the season after suffering a setback in his rehabilitation routine. Andre Iguodala is not on injury reports so he will share court with Klay Thompson and Drummond Green for the first time since 2019.

If you can pick one player to consult before a big basketball game, Steph Curry is probably at the top of that list. I

Including winning three NBA championships, the Warriors superstar has done just that. If he returns from injury at the end of the regular season, he is looking to add a fourth.

On Wednesday before the Duke and Texas Tech square off in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Sweet 16 matchup at the Chase Center, Curry met the Blue Devils at the Warriors’ home, where he spoke with legendary college basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski and his squad.

Steph Curry’s Davidson Wildcats were dropped from March Madness, so he now favors his brother Seth Curry’s school, the Duke Blue Devils.

Steph Curry asked Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, freshman Paolo Banchero and the rest of the players to support him during his practice tour.
