Foot injury
SAN FRANCISCO – Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry was ruled out of the second half of their 110-88 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night due to a pain in his left leg. He had an MRI done soon after the game.
When asked about his concern about Curry’s leg, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said, “We’ll know after the MRI.”
Curry injured his leg at the 4:17 mark of the second quarter when he was rolled over by Marcus Smart of the Celtics, as the two wrestled for a loose ball.
After the play, Kerr was shown yelling at Smart.
“I thought it was a dangerous game,” Kerr said. “I thought Marcus sneaked into Steph, and that’s what I was upset about. Lots of respect for Marcus. He’s one hell of a player, a player, a competitor. I coached him at the World Cup a few summers ago. We Talked after the game and we are good. But I thought it was a dangerous game.”
Smart explained that he didn’t see Curry and was going after the ball.
“I looked at the ball, I was dove for the ball, trying to make a play,” Smart said. “Unfortunately it happened.”
He said: “I’m sure I’ll be called dirty. But I know who I am. … I work very hard and I leave everything on the court. … My teammates, my colleagues, they You know I’m not a dirty player.”
After getting up, Curry tried to get out of the pain. He was then seen on the bench during the ensuing time, but instead of returning to the court, he went back to the locker room.
His return was previously labeled as suspicious, but after being checked through halftime, he was downgraded.

While Steph Curry’s on-court admiration has surpassed almost every other player of her generation, her generosity and compassion outweighed her athletic exploits when she made a young fan’s dreams come true at the Ball Arena on Thursday.
Curry sat outside at a Golden State game in Denver on Monday to prepare for Tuesday’s match with the Clippers. In Curry’s absence, a young Denver fan was in tears when the Warriors star was not present to see the sign made for him.
Golden State provided the fan and his family with a set of courtside tickets to watch Thursday’s game. Before the competition, Curry walked up to the young fan, hugged him, signed an autograph and posed for a picture.
