The number of total knee replacements performed each year is increasing. The main obstacles to functional recovery after these surgeries include postoperative edema, pain, loss of muscle strength of the lower limbs, all of which point to the need to identify safe, effective postoperative rehabilitation modalities. The aim of this paper was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Kinesio Taping® (KT) method in reducing postoperative pain, edema, and improved knee range of motion recovery after total knee replacement (TKR) operation in the early postoperative rehabilitation period. Randomized clinical trial. patient rehabilitation facility. Ninety-nine patients who underwent primary TKR surgery. Using simple randomization, participants were divided into a KT group and a control group. After surgery both groups received the same rehabilitation program and procedures, except the KT group also received KT applications during all rehabilitation periods.
