Highlights

Their 26–14 win against the Browns on “Monday Night Football” gives the Steelers a chance to earn a berth in the AFC. They must beat the rival Ravens on the road in Week 18 and seek help.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger ended his Heinz field farewell, completing 24 of 46 passes for 123 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He joined wide receiver Dionte Johnson for a touchdown, a 5-yarder in the second quarter that gave Pittsburgh a 7-0 lead. Running back rookie Nazi Harris led the Steelers with 180 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Pittsburgh’s defense put Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield under constant pressure, and he was dismissed a total of nine times. TJ Watt had four of those sacks and is just one sack behind Michael Strahan’s all-time record of 22.5 sacks in a season.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Steelers got Dionte Johnson on board with a Roethlisberger touchdown pass on a five-yard touchdown. An Ahkelo Witherspoon interception set the first of four field goals from Chris Boswell later in the second quarter to take the Steelers 10–0 at halftime.
A quick field goal in the third quarter put the Steelers up 13, but their drive was cut short at the 4 yard line, and they allowed the Browns back into the game.
Cleveland had a chance to go into the fourth quarter
Cleveland saw that they were unable to take advantage of the Steelers’ inability to take three possessions with a touchdown just before the end of the third quarter. Mayfield hits David Nojoku for a three-yard touchdown pass.
Playoff game
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns squared off for the second time this season, and the two teams entered completely different scenarios on Monday night. For the Steelers, their playoff hopes were hanging by a thread, while the Browns’ playoff hopes were already dashed during Sunday’s results.
If the Steelers had any prayer for a place in the playoffs, they would need to win their games, and expect the Jaguars to upset the Colts in Week 18. But that was not on everyone’s mind at Heinz Field on Monday Night Football. No, all eyes were on Ben Roethlisberger as he took home turf for the last time in his 18-year career. From a post-season standpoint, the Browns had nothing to play for, but they certainly could have played a spoiler for the man who has plagued Cleveland since entering the league in 2004.
The Browns won the opening coin toss, and took hold in the second half, deciding to kick the ball to Pittsburgh to begin the game. After converting first to Chase Claypool, the Steelers’ drive stalled and sent off Corliss Weightman for his first punt of the game.
Brown would have to settle for nothing more than a field flipping drive on his first offensive possession, and it gave the ball back to Roethlisberger and the offense. After another weightman punt, the Browns were threatening to score the first of the game, but on 4 and 7 a Baker Mayfield pass was batted down the line of scrimmage for a turnover on Down.
