Stanley Cup Finals: MVP| Winners| Corey Perry
The Stanley Cup Finals in ice hockey (also known as the Stanley Cup Finals among various media, [note 2] French: Finale de la Coupe Stanley) is the annual championship series of the National Hockey League (NHL). The winner is awarded the Stanley Cup, which is North America’s oldest professional sports trophy, and one of the “most important championships available to the sport of ice hockey” according to the International Ice Hockey Federation.
MVP
Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP on Monday night despite Edmonton’s loss to Florida in the Stanley Cup Finals, capping one of the greatest postseason performances in NHL history.
McDavid, who was held without a point in Game 7 on Monday night, led all scorers with 42 points, five shy of the record of 47 set by Wayne Gretzky in 1985.
“It’s unbelievable,” teammate Dylan Holloway said before the game. “There is no shortage of words. He is so amazing. He brings it every day, and plays best when we need him most. “He’s obviously a special player and a special person as well.”
After not scoring in the first three games against Florida (but still leading the team with three assists), McDavid turned the series around by doing something that no other player in history, including Gretzky, has done. He had four points in consecutive games in the finals to save the Oilers from elimination.

Corey Perry
Same thing happened again with Corey Perry. In their fifth Stanley Cup Final appearance and fourth attempt to win their second championship, Perry and the Edmonton Oilers failed. They lost to the Florida Panthers in Game 7 on Monday to secure Florida’s first Stanley Cup victory.
