Spurs vs Nuggets: NBA Odds| Prediction| Odds| Pick| 4/5/2022
The San Antonio Spurs are a quarter away from consolidating a major victory for the organization. After three quarters neither squad has a matchup in the bag, but the Spurs have taken an 85-79 lead over the Denver Nuggets. San Antonio is led by shooting guard Devin Wassell, who has 17 points in addition to five rebounds so far. Center Nikola Jokic, at his best for Denver, currently has 34 points (43% of his total) and 11 boards with four dimes. Jokic’s Night has played four games in a row with at least 34 points.
NBA Odds
This is a big match for both these teams. The Spurs currently have a two-game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers for their 10th and final playoff seed in the Western Conference. They are also only one game behind the ninth seed, making the game extremely important.
Nuggets are in a similar situation. Denver is seeded fifth, as they have a half-game lead over the sixth-seeded Utah Jazz. They also trail the Dallas Mavericks by two games, making it a contest to win if the Nuggets want any chance to improve their seeding.

NBA Odds:
San Antonio Spurs: 9 (-110)
Denver Nuggets: -9 (-110)
Overs: 234 (-110)
Under: 234 (-110)
Prediction
No one can stop Nikola Jokic, but the San Antonio Spurs have an especially hard time defending him with their frontcourt. He can do anything from anywhere, and he dominates the action on the court better than anyone currently in the league.
On top of the current MVP, the Nuggets also have a plethora of talented wingers who can heat up from the outside and enter the lane as well.
Rival Role Players to Watch: I’m going to go a little off the board here and take Rookie Bones Highland. The 6-3 guard has done well during the season with increased chances and averaged 14.1 points per game in March.
All things being equal, the Nuggets have a lot of talent for the Spurs. Without Dejounte, S.A. Things are even more bleak for I think Spurs can continue their momentum.
Odds
The San Antonio Spurs (33-45) hit the road at 9 p.m. to take on the Denver Nuggets (47-32). ET Tuesday, April 5 at the Ball Arena in Denver. Denver bounced back from a 136-130 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 1 to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 129-118 on Sunday. San Antonio is posting two consecutive wins over the struggling Portland Trail Blazers. 10 seed and last place in the Western Conference playoffs, while the Nuggets sit fifth in the West, 0.5 games ahead of the sixth-placed Utah Jazz.

Pick
It’s a fairly easy pick, even with the spread hitting double digits. The Nuggets should cover quite easily against a Spurs team that is playing without their best player. Take Denver with confidence.

Devin Wassell and Keldon Johnson scored 20 points to help the San Antonio Spurs secure a spot in Tuesday night’s play-in tournament after a 116-97 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Shortly after San Antonio won, the Spurs finished at least 10th in the Western Conference when the Los Angeles Lakers were knocked out of the playoff race with a loss in Phoenix.
Not that the Spurs were really thinking about it. Or at least coach Greg Popovich wasn’t.
“We’ve got a game on Thursday and we’re going to play it,” Popovich said. “Don’t worry about anything else. It’s not like we’re world champions.”
During his reign as MVP, Nikola Jokic had 41 points and 17 rebounds for the Nuggets, who missed their chance to make the playoffs with a win after Minnesota lost to Washington.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said, “We missed a golden opportunity. I didn’t think we had the requisite focus, determination, urgency, desperation—whatever adjective you want to use. I didn’t think we had.” It’s tonight.”
Aaron Gordon echoed that sentiment.
“It’s a bad loss for us,” said Gordon, who had 18 points and 13 rebounds. We just didn’t take advantage of the opportunity we were given and it’s disappointing, but we know we have two games left. We are looking into it now.”
The Spurs scored six players in double digits after winning a regular-season game in Denver for the first time since January 5, 2017. But it was still not easy after San Antonio took the lead, which extended to 21 late. Second quarter.
The Nuggets cut it to four at the start of the fourth, only to see the Spurs hold on to a 14-2 lead to gain momentum. One of the major plays was when Devon Reed tried to make a behind-the-scenes pass that was stolen by Trey Jones, who went for a layoff. Jones finished with 14 points and 10 assists.
