What happened to
While Simone Biles took time off from competitive gymnastics following the conclusion of the Tokyo Olympics, she has had more time to focus on her personal life. The American gymnast announced her engagement to NFL player Jonathan Owens in February 2022.
The couple got married in April 2023. And in June, it was announced that Biles would return to competitive gymnastics during the 2023 US Classic. Competing in her first competition since the Tokyo Olympics, the champion gymnast claimed the women’s all-around, balance beam and floor exercise titles. The win has helped Simone Biles qualify for the nationals, which will be held later this month. If his impressive comeback continues, we may get to see him compete at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Vault olympic trials
USAG confirmed after the meet that DiCello injured her Achilles while performing her competition vault and would not be able to participate in the remaining trials.
She fell during her vault and was taken to a wheelchair at the start of the competition on Friday night.
The injury has dashed his Olympic hopes. Disello was an alternate during the Tokyo Olympics but did not compete.
The extent of Jones’ injury is unknown. She caught her knee while landing on vault during warmups and sat out the competition except bars. Her score on bars remains the highest in Sunday’s final.
